Integrating Health Services for Women’s
Empowerment: Women Empowerment
Pakistan (WEP) has taken a holistic
approach to women’s health by
incorporating family planning into the
Community Management of Acute
Malnutrition (CMAM) program. This
integration is a testament to our
commitment to addressing the
comprehensive health needs of
women and their families.
Empowering Choices in Family Planning:
Family planning is pivotal in empowering
individuals and couples to make informed decisions
regarding the number, timing, and spacing of their children. Within the CMAM framework,
the inclusion of family planning services ensures that women receive comprehensive
reproductive health care in conjunction with nutritional support.
WEP’s Impactful Achievements
Extensive Referral Network: The
referral of 37,491 women to family
planning services at health facilities
highlights WEP’s dedication to
reproductive health and the
empowerment of women to make
autonomous reproductive choices.
Community Engagement: The
execution of 6,167 educational
sessions in communities has been
instrumental
in
spreading
knowledge about family planning.
These sessions serve as a conduit
for
dialogue,
learning,
and
consciousness-raising, enabling women to take charge of their reproductive health and family
planning decisions.
