Health & Nutrition
WEP addresses malnutrition through the Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) project, focusing on maternal and child health. We emphasize maternal nutrition, Infant Young Child Feeding (IYCF), and our 1000 Days Strategy to prevent stunting.

WEP Education and ICTRCs Program
WEP bridges the literacy gap for disadvantaged communities with formal, non-formal, and vocational training, as well as teacher training. We promote digital literacy by establishing computer labs in non-profit schools. These labs benefit students and offer evening programs for the community.

Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM)
The CMAM project by WEP addresses malnutrition through the establishment of 13 outpatient therapeutic centers in Kashmore. This initiative provided crucial nutrition and health services, especially in areas lacking Lady Health Workers, significantly impacting the community’s well-being. .
Blanket Supplementary Feeding Program (BSFP)
The BSFP improves nutrition for women and children in Kashmore and Kandhkot, focusing on children aged 6-23 months and lactating mothers. It aims to reduce malnutrition through systematic beneficiary enrolment by health workers.
Accelerated Action Plan (AAP)
Under the AAP, WEP recruited and trained 463 Community Health Workers for outreach services. This project aims to deliver comprehensive care for acute malnutrition and Infant Young Child Feeding (IYCF) programs. To date, 1,575 community health workers have been trained .
Establishment of Health Houses
Health Houses are community hubs providing vital health information, focusing on malnutrition and health education. Established in Community Health Workers’ homes, they offer a sustainable model for community health awareness.
Sindh Enhancing Response to Reduce Stunting Project (SERSP)
SERSP focuses on reducing stunting rates in Sindh through multisectoral interventions. The project addresses chronic malnutrition and aims to improve the health and nutrition status of vulnerable populations, including newborns, infants, pregnant and lactating women, adolescent girls, and malnourished children .
WEP Hunarkari Project (Livelihood Program)
This program empowers women through vocational training in trades like stitching, embroidery, and beautician skills. It aims to elevate living standards by providing practical skills for self-employment and business creation, contributing to economic independence.
