The CMAM project by WEP addresses malnutrition through the establishment of 13 outpatient therapeutic centers in Kashmore. This initiative provided crucial nutrition and health services, especially in areas lacking Lady Health Workers, significantly impacting the community’s well-being. .

A Village Girl’s Journey from Malnutrition to Hope: A Success Story

Anmol is a 24-month-old girl who lives in Village Samabad, UC & Taluka Ubauro of District Ghotki. She is the second child of Ghulam Mustafa, a laborer. Anmol’s family is poor and lives in an area that is not covered by Lady Health Workers (LHWs). Ms Sumera, a Community Health Worker (CHW) from Women Empowerment Pakistan (WEP), visited their village for screening.

 

Aneela’s Journey: Nurturing Health Against All Odds

In the heart of the Ghotki district, in the village of Kalo Khan Sanghi, a story of resilience unfolds. Aneela, an 18-month-old child, found herself at the center of a health crisis that threatened her well-being. Born into the humble abode of Mr. Balam, Aneela’s family struggled with the harsh realities of living in a mud-built house amidst critical health and WASH conditions.

Empowering Health in District Ghotki: A Tale of Transformation

Farida, a pregnant woman with a four-month pregnancy, found herself in the clutches of malnutrition. Married at a young age to Khalid, who is still pursuing his education, Farida faced financial constraints that prevented her from seeking private healthcare. Weak and unhealthy, her plight mirrored the challenges faced by many in the village.
